The Paint is Dry, But the Car is Wet!

Well, the Princess is back from the spray shop after my errrr Little mishap! Must say the work looks good, I also paid them extra to sort out the blemish on the bonnet. I thought it was just a bit of spidering or a reaction with old paint from when the car was resprayed, sadly it turns out they were rust holes, and by the time the bonnet has been stripped back to bear metal, there was more than one hole, plus rust hiding under the sound proofing! Anyway all thats now been sorted! I was going to take the old girl for a spin and show off her new paint work on Sunday 30th November, but it rained, and rained and was dark and cold and well...seemed a shame to take the cover off the poor old thing, so racked with guilt I made my way down to the pier in the Honda instead! Turns out that everyone had the same idea and turned up in their everyday cars to see if the meeting was still on! Good that so many made the effort to check, and it made me feel better for chickening out on bringing my own car, Still we did head off for a coffee and a chat down at Oat Lands, so not a totally wasted afternoon, and good to catch up with some members that we'd not seen for a while...so lets hope we get one dry day before 2008 bows out! Better add that to the Christmas list, along with 2 end sections for the 4 litre R's rear bumper, only one side of which was my fault scratching! In case anyone thinks I hit it again.

Chris had this Renault Clio given to him, So there is such thing as a free lunch! Even if it is a lunch you'd maybe not really want to eat...or own!
