Yes the Allegro will be pounding the tarmac along the Vazon coast road in Guernsey on Saturday 23rd October 2010, and It's all for Charity mate!
I've had the brakes done so now at least it will stop! I've also had the Carb cleaned and the plugs etc changed so at least now it will go!
With a 0-60 time of around 14 seconds will my 1976 Vanden Plas 1500 Automatic leave the many super cars and sports cars that have also entered the event trembling in my wake?

Yes! The Allegro was not the slowest car at the sprint! it managed a quarter mike in about 25 seconds and hit 52mph!
Old Agro never missed a beat and went down a storm with the crowd, and has had his photo in the local press and won Most Unusual Car of the event!
Sadly Agro is now sold but at least now he'd got a new lease of life, and a new owner
Not bad for an old banger left to rot in a field
